Erbil, also known as Howler, is a beautiful and secure city that possesses many natural resources.
It is a historically and culturally significant center. Erbil, the capitol of Kurdistan, lies 350 km north of Baghdad,
streched along a fertile plane between the big Zab and small Zab Rivers. This important, ancient city is mentioned in
a 2000 B.C. text Samarian under the name ORBLOOM or EUROBLOOM. Erbil also appears in Bablyon and Ashor texts under the
name ERBA-ELO.
The Kurdish name Erbil, is derived from old phrase meaning buildings, castles, and minarets; many of these structures
survive to this day.
The normal weather for this region is hot in summer and cool in winter. Weather during the
Exposition can be expected to be moderatley cold with breezes and light rains. The land around Erbil is fertile
with wheat and cotton the principal crops. The area is also known for the high quality of its farm animals.

Iraqi Kurdistan is the traditional commercial link between many regions inside Iraq and neighboring countries.
Erbil is considered the summer capitol of Iraq.
Due to current circumstances in Iraq, the importance of Erbil is today greater, because of its stable,
dynamic administration that has good relations with the entire political spectrum within and outside Iraq.
Arbil is one of the most stable and secures cities which designates it to be, not just the capitol of the
Iraqi Kurdistan, but to be a principal economic engine and vital commercial gate for Iraq and the region.
